39 Weeks

I guess it is time for another pregnancy update. Although, at this point I really wish it was just a baby update!
I had another doctor's appointment today (my last one before Hannah is born) with my one and true doctor. It was nice to have her for my first and last appointment in this pregnancy. I am now 3cm dialated and almost 100% effaced. My doctor was very pleased and we have gone ahead and scheduled an induction date for this Thursday, March 1.
My Grandma Lesta is arriving by plane Wednesday afternoon. Then Thursday morning, we must call the hospital at 5am to make sure they have a bed for me. Shortly thereafter we will make our way to the hospital for Hannah to be born!
We will keep you updated and let you know when sweet baby girl is born!

Just Over 38 Weeks

We'll, I'm still here (home - not hospital) and Hannah is still in here (my womb). Not much else to say except this is a short post because, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."
Pray for me and Hannah.

37 Week Appointment

I went back to the doctor today. They were able to fit me in early this morning. I am now 2cm dialated and 75% effaced. (the contractions are working!) Hannah as fully dropped all the way down (last time she wasn't quite all the way there). I talked to the doctor about going ahead to schedule an induction for 39 weeks but she said, "I don't want to schedule it and then have to cancel it. I really don't think you will make it to 39 weeks." I guess that is good news to me. One of my other doctors had said she thought I would only make it to 38 weeks (this coming Monday). I am scheduled to go back then for another checkup. I have been having contractions everyday, sometimes pretty regular, but not quite close enough together or painful enough to be "real" labor. My body is still trying to "warm up".
Please also pray for me as I am throwing up and having nausea. Also continue to pray for Hannah with her growth & health. Pray for a healthy baby girl to be born VERY soon!

37 Weeks

I hit my 37 week mark today. I am now at full term and really the only reason she is staying in me is to get bigger. Everything is fully developed and she is ready to function as a human in this world. Saturday I had TONS of contractions, which disappeared right around 8pm. Then Sunday I went mall walking to try and keep the process going. I really thought this weekend would be "it" for me. I had a peace that I would get to meet Hannah, and when I woke up this morning I hit a low. It hadn't happened. I tried to call the doctor again to see if there were any appointments for this week my 37 week checkup and still nothing. I talked to one of the nurses on the help line and she informed me that no one is induced until 39 weeks. I know this really isn't true because of stories I have heard, but I cannot talk to a doctor about my hopes/desires until I can get an appointment! It is really frustrating. As of Sunday Josh and I gave up our Sunday School class for maternity leave. Josh will also take a few months off from playing in the band at church too. I have given up my desk to the new girl (who after 4 days of training is doing awesome) and don't feel like I even need to be there. It is all under control at work. I would just be in the way. I just don't know what I am going to do for 2 weeks sitting at home. PLEASE GOD CAN YOU LET ME GIVE BIRTH TO HANNAH THIS WEEK!!
Please pray for Hannah that labor and contractions would not cause too much stress on her. That she would be born a healthy and beautiful baby girl. Also, for me and my mental state. I have waited so long for this time to come and feel like time has all stopped.

Appointment

Well, I went to the doctor and am about the same along as last week, however I did loose two pounds. (this is very interesting to me because I know I have gotten bigger!) I have heard that the week before you go into labor you can loose weight. Not really sure why that is? They are guessing she weighs about 6 pounds right now. Yeah Hannah!
The disappointing thing is the office is booked solid for the next week and a half which means they won't see me until February 19. I was so frustrated leaving. The checkout nurse was rude to me to say that I wouldn't get an appointment unless someone went into labor and someone cancelled. Oh well, I guess that needs to be me.
Please continue to pray for Hannah! We will update you on the next change hopefully soon!!

Job

My boss hired a new person to take over my job! Yeah!! She started today and is really sweet and overwhelmed! (I know why!) We had a good first day of training. I also got up the courage to ask to start part time next week. So, next week I will be part time which sounds really nice. =)
Keep praying for my health and sweet baby girl!!

36 Weeks!!

She could come at any time!! Whenever Hannah decides to come at this point would be awesome news to me! The doctor has told us that they would not stop labor and they would not worry about development etc at this stage in my pregnancy. I am very excited to know she could come at any time. I cleaned house on Saturday and did a final wash of all Hannah's clothes, bibs, sheets, etc. The bassinet is set up and waiting. My hospital bag as well as baby's are packed and waiting! We just need to install the car seat base in the back of the car and we will be ready to bring her home.
Please pray for Hannah's heart to continue beating. Please continue to pray that she would continue to grow and be ready (really soon) to make her entrance into the world. We'll keep you posted.

35 Week Dr Appt

We went to the doctor yesterday and I saw my second favorite doctor (we will also see her next week too). She measured my belly and said Hannah is still growing and a good size (no weight guess yet). I gained a few pounds over the last two weeks which is expected. She said Hannah is dropped and in the head down position!! Yeah! My cervix is also softening and I am one centameter dilated. I am on my way! Next week I will start walking more to try to help her along the way. I am just so anxious to meet my baby girl!!
Please continue to pray for Hannah on the finishing developing of her lungs and organs. She's almost ready!!!!
