34 Weeks

All is well here. Hannah is still kicking and moving around A LOT. Some days she seems to have dropped down like she is getting ready to come out soon. I have been able to breathe easier and am making a lot more trips to the bathroom! I guess we'll see soon enough. Josh and I are REALLY hoping to meet her in 3 weeks or so. Since the doctor has said she is already a good size baby, coming early will mean I won't have to try and push out a 9 to 10 pound baby girl! Josh and I are praying daily that sweet baby girl will stay healthy and finish growing correctly before she is born into this world. Please continue to pray with us that her heart would continue beating and that Hannah would be born perfect in the correct timing of His will.
PS Pictures of her room coming very soon!!

33 Weeks

33 Weeks! I had a doctor's appointment today and got to see my regular doctor. It was nice to catch up with her and she was really excited to see how far I have come from the beginning of my pregnancy. I had only gained "baby weight" (what Hannah herself gained) from my last visit so that was nice to know. She measured my belly and said that Hannah will be a good size baby and that she could easily come around 38 weeks! This date would put me at February 20th. If this information is true, my friend Kiersten and I could be in the hospital delivering our baby girls at the same time. (she has a scheduled c-section for Feb. 20)
Over the long weekend Josh and I went to Target to look at baby cribs and changing tables. As it turns out the crib and changing table I really really wanted had gone on clearance. After finding out the crib and changing table were quickly disappearing we decided to go ahead and purchase them. We had to drive to several different stores before we were able to purchase the matching changing table and crib (that were both white). We put them together on Monday evening and they look so good! Now all we need is a matress and I think we will be set.
Hannah has still been kicking and moving around a lot which is great. Although, she has been making me more uncomfortable. It has been harder to sleep and work, or really do anything normal. Please continue to pray that baby girl would stay healthy and strong and her heart would continue beating. Please begin praying for a quick and easy delivery of a healthy breathing baby girl.

32 Weeks

32 Weeks is here. For a long time during my pregnancy I kept saying, if I could get to 32 weeks I know that Hannah would have a good chance of making it... Now that I am here I still feel like I have forever to go and would be worried if she came this early. Yesterday work was stressful on my body and I started having contractions even though I went home right after work and rested. I called the doctor and she asked me to come into the hospital to Labor and Delivery to get checked out. They put the monitors on me and listened to everything and said I was fine and not in labor, my cervix was closed, and Hannah was doing fine. After about an hour and a half they let me go home. My body is just so overly tired, huge, and stressed. I am just ready to have this baby soon!!
Please continue to pray for Hannah that she would grow and finish developing correctly. Please pray she would be born a live and healthy baby.

31 Week Doctor Appointment

I had a great doctor's appointment yesterday. The doctor I saw was very friendly and didn't rush to get done with me. She saw the list I was holding and was very patient to answer each question and concern. It really made me feel a whole lot better. I do not have diabetes, but I do have to start taking an iron pill and continue taking the baby asprin until 35 weeks. We got to hear Hannah's heartbeat again. It was nice and strong.
Last night Josh and I went to a labor class. Yes, they do show you a video of a real birth - but I closed my eyes. I'm not going to see it from that angle when it happens to me, so I didn't want to see it happening to someone else. I am very nervous about the active delivery (pushing) part and also that Hannah makes it through it all and comes out okay. Those are my top two concerns which I just need to pray about daily.
I had a friend who lost her baby at 19 weeks yesterday. I am very saddened and also reminded that a baby can be lost at any time. Please continue to pray for Hannah that she would continue to grow and develop correctly. Pray that her heart would continue beating strong. We want to see her alive and healthy very soon!!

31 Weeks

I'm updating a little late this week. Tomorrow we go to the doctor and I have a really long list of questions to ask, like why they haven't sent me my test results or called about the bloodwork taken almost 3 weeks ago! Honestly I feel like just a number sometimes and it has been getting to me lately. So I have my list of questions and I am going to ask them one by one and make the doctor spend the time in that little room with ME. Also, I am going to ask to see my regular doctor for my next visit. I don't want to go swishing around again to someone different again. When I am on the delivery table and someone other than MY doctor has to deliver, I am not going to remember any of the other doctors that I saw for like 2 minutes anyways. I just want to see MY doctor. Shouldn't the pregnant patient get her way!?!
Hannah has been moving TONS. It feels like it is nonstop sometimes. Last night she was turned in such a weird position and I just could not get comfortable! I am ready for her to be ready to come out!! That is all for now. I will update you tomorrow on my doctor visit.

30 Weeks!! Merry Christmas!!

I feel like I am on the last leg of my pregnancy journey. I get more nervous and excited every day. I just can't wait to hold precious Hannah in my arms and know she is okay. Today Josh and I had our hopefully our last Christmas just the two of us. We had a very relaxing weekend sleeping in and enjoying each other's company. We opened presents for quite a long time today. Hannah got many presents too, even though she is not here yet!! Sweet little baby girl, you will not go without!! I wanted to put a picture of my favorite Christmas present she received. It is from her Grandma and Papa and it is the sweetest cutest little Sunday dress and shiny black shoes! Baby girl clothes are just so much fun! I can't wait to see her in it!! Thank you Grandma and Papa!
I go back to the doctor next week. Please pray everything continues to develop correctly and is right on or ahead of schedule. Merry Christmas! Love, Josh, Joanna, and Hannah

29 Weeks

Not much to update you on since the last post. Hannah has been moving more than ever. Yesterday was just so funny. It seemed like she wiggled every second! I love feeling her move around because it helps me to know that she is doing okay and is healthy. I still do not have any test results back about my diabetes. Hopefully by the end of this week I will know something. Josh and I are looking forward to Friday! Friday starts a five day Christmas vacation for both of us. It has been such a long time since both of us even had more than one day together work-free. As much as we can't wait for Hannah to get here, we plan to enjoy our last Christmas just the two of us here in our cozy little home. This will be the last sane moments before all the craziness happens at the start of the new year.
Please continue to pray for sweet Hannah that she would grow and stay strong and healthy!!

Ultrasound and Doctor Visit

We saw the doctor today. I had my diabetes test, you drink the sweet drink and one hour later have your blood drawn. I guess they will notify me in a couple of days the results of the test.
While we waited the hour before my blood was drawn we had our ultrasound. Hannah kept putting her hands in front of her face so we couldn't get a good look at her. Such a stinker already!! In the picture to the far right the downward slope is her head and bump out is her nose and mouth with her hand right up there like she is sucking her fingers! Her little knee and leg is the other bump you see. So cute! They said she weighs about 3 pounds and for her "age" is in the 68 percentile. Which means she is bigger than 68% of other babies her size. I was so glad to hear that news. It just doesn't seem possible that I have a 3 pound 15 inch long baby inside me. My belly just doesn't look big enough. So here is our sweet baby having a such a good time in her Mommy. Keep praying she will develope correctly and continue to grow right on schedule!!

28 Weeks

I am behind in writing for this week. Not much new has been going on in the way of my pregnancy. Hannah has been moving a lot more and the other night Josh was really able to feel her moving around!! He kept poking just the right spot and she would kick back. We go to the doctor tomorrow and I will have the diabetes test, ultrasound, and doctor visit. I will update after our appointment!
Keep praying for sweet baby Hannah!!

27 Weeks

I am at 27 weeks and have 10 more to go until I am full term. This means anytime after February 13 I could have Hannah at ANY time!! I am getting a little larger, Hannah is taking up more and more room inside. According to websites I will start to really get big over the next few weeks. Hannah is just over 2 pounds and yesterday she started to give me powerful little kicks and elbows that hurt. I guess she is running out of space. Sometimes when she moves into different positions my belly is so tight and stretched. I have to poke her to get her to move back to a better position.
Saturday I had my first shower. It was so pretty and PINK! I got lots of nice things, but the cutest present I belive were these itsy bitsy newborn diapers!! They are so cute! Josh said he didn't know how his big hands were supposed to be putting such a small diaper on a little person. I guess we'll find out. =)
Please continue to pray for my health and rest. Also pray for Hannah that she would continue growing on schedule and her heart would continue beating strong.
