Doctor Appointment Progress!!

Well I am 2 (and a bit) cm dilated and 60% effaced! Yahoo I am making progress! The doctor was very helpful. She said she thinks Drew weighs about 7 1/2 to 8 pounds and is ready to come at any time! We did set an inducement up for this Monday, July 14th. I'm hoping this "deadline" will help him to decide to come on his own.
Granny Kay is here and ready to take charge once I go into labor.

Please pray for all of us as we wait out these last few days and pray for a healthy delivery and and baby boy!!

New Pictures

I was on playing with some pictures and thought I would upload a few random ones from this past week.

Hannah and I went and ate dinner with Josh one day last week at work and visited the duck pond nearby. Hannah, unlike me as a child, was fearless and wanted to chase the ducks around. She kept saying "duck!" or "quack quack!".

Hannah trying on a pink baseball cap in Target.

Here is Hannah in a hat that a lady at Josh's work made for her. So cute!

Weekend

We had a pretty uneventful 4th of July and weekend. We hung around the house, did some shopping and errands... and for me lots of walking! I have had TONS of contractions. Some painful some not, but I don't know if they are doing anything to help me cervix. I guess I'll see at the doctor appointment on Thursday. We bought a crib mattress for Drew at the end of last week (thanks Mom/Grandma!!) and Josh and I also bought a new bed for our room and our keeping our "older" queen size bed for guests. Right now I am sleeping on the old bed just in case my water break and also it still feels comfortable and safe during these last days (hopefully) being pregnant. Plus I get a whole bed to myself to wiggle around and use as many pillows as I want! =) My Granny Kay is driving up with my Aunt Sharon on Wednesday. She will stay with us to get to know Hannah's schedule and help out after Drew is born.
Not much else for now. I am just keeping up with house work and hanging out with Hannah and Josh while we wait!
I'll update when I have more news...

Same

I am still only 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced. My doctor is on call today and through early hours tomorrow and after that she is on vacation until my due date so I guess she won't be delivering Drew! It's alright because all the other ladies are great and I don't mind them delivering him. That's all for now!

The Waiting Game

The waiting game, I guess that is what we are playing with Drew right now. I feel in limbo. I don't know when or where I will go into labor and am constantly second guessing if I should make plans for this or that because I don't know if Drew will decide to come and I'll have to go around cancelling the plans I have made. If I could just know the date he was coming it would sure help me out! But that's not something I can really control... or know... I'm not frustrated and upset like when I was pregnant with Hannah, I just wanted her to come - early. With a second baby there is much more to plan because I have Hannah to consider while I am in the hospital.
Keep praying for our family in this waiting time and I'll update you after my doctor appointment on Thursday!!

Doctor Visit

I had a good doctor visit today. I am 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced! Sounds good to me! If nothing happens before next Thursday I will go back for another check up.
Please continue praying for a healthy delivery and a healthy baby boy!

Hannah Cute-ness

So today Josh and I are sitting in the living room and Hannah gets up from playing and says "BYE!" (while waving) and then heads for the back door. She reaches up like to grap our keys where they hang on the hook says "Keys!" and then acts like she can go somewhere by herself. So cute!!

Sneaky Pants... at dinner I had cut up some grapes for Hannah to eat. I was doing a few things in the kitchen and not watching her. After a few minutes she holds up her empty hands and says "ALL DONE!" I go over to her and she had hidden all the grapes in one of her high chair compartments. Did she think she could fool Mommy? The funny thing is once I pulled out all the hidden grapes she gobbled them up. She really did want to eat them!

No, no, no... Hannah knows what is is allowed to touch and not allowed to touch in the house. She will go over to something off limits, touch it, and say to herself, "No, no, no!"

Happy Father's Day!

Our family had a great father's day. We were traveling home from out of town, we hit the road after breakfast and stopped for lunch in Nashville at the Opry Mills Mall and ate at the Rain Forest Cafe. I had been before (in Orlando) but it was Josh and Hannah's first time. Hannah was a little frightened by the first "thunderstorm" but overall enjoyed it. Here is our attempt at getting a good picture of father and daughter...

Hannah kept wiggling to get down. She was tired of sitting or being held. Before and after lunch we walked around the whole mall and went in tons of stores. Hannah walked a lot of the time holding our hand.

Here is a picture of Hannah coloring at the table. Her eyes looks so big and round in this picture. Funny! She hasn't quite grasped the whole idea of holding a crayon and coloring but it will soon come.

On a pregnancy note, I had another doctor appointment today. They "checked me" and my cervix is soft but not dialated any yet. She said Drew's head is down and low. I have been having more contractions over the past few days, but their not making any progress yet. The doctor said after Sunday if I go into labor they will not stop me (yeah!). She also said that since I went early with Hannah I will most likely go early with Drew. That sounds like good news to me! Overall it was a good visit and I head back next Thursday again for a check up.
Please keep us in your prayers!

Doctor Appointment

Today I had my 34 week check-up. We were able to hear the heartbeat which was good and strong. Drew is in the head down position which means he is getting ready to meet us! I will go back next week and have my Group B Strep Test. (oh joy) Other than that the visit was short and sweet. I will now go once a week until he comes. Please continue to pray that the rest of my pregnancy will be healthy and not too uncomforatble. =)

We will be traveling at the end of this week to Alabama for my cousin Sheryl's wedding (and Tim!). I forgot to get clearance from my dr about this trip, but since it is only 4 hours away I should be alright. Hopefully I won't go into labor. I don't want to have a baby in the car! More to come...
