I feel like I am on the last leg of my pregnancy journey. I get more nervous and excited every day. I just can't wait to hold precious Hannah in my arms and know she is okay. Today Josh and I had our hopefully our last Christmas just the two of us. We had a very relaxing weekend sleeping in and enjoying each other's company. We opened presents for quite a long time today. Hannah got many presents too, even though she is not here yet!! Sweet little baby girl, you will not go without!!
I wanted to put a picture of my favorite Christmas present she received. It is from her Grandma and Papa and it is the sweetest cutest little Sunday dress and shiny black shoes! Baby girl clothes are just so much fun! I can't wait to see her in it!! Thank you Grandma and Papa!
I go back to the doctor next week. Please pray everything continues to develop correctly and is right on or ahead of schedule. Merry Christmas! Love, Josh, Joanna, and Hannah

29 Weeks
Not much to update you on since the last post. Hannah has been moving more than ever. Yesterday was just so funny. It seemed like she wiggled every second! I love feeling her move around because it helps me to know that she is doing okay and is healthy. I still do not have any test results back about my diabetes. Hopefully by the end of this week I will know something. Josh and I are looking forward to Friday! Friday starts a five day Christmas vacation for both of us. It has been such a long time since both of us even had more than one day together work-free. As much as we can't wait for Hannah to get here, we plan to enjoy our last Christmas just the two of us here in our cozy little home. This will be the last sane moments before all the craziness happens at the start of the new year.
Please continue to pray for sweet Hannah that she would grow and stay strong and healthy!!

Ultrasound and Doctor Visit

We saw the doctor today. I had my diabetes test, you drink the sweet drink and one hour later have your blood drawn. I guess they will notify me in a couple of days the results of the test.
While we waited the hour before my blood was drawn we had our ultrasound. Hannah kept putting her hands in front of her face so we couldn't get a good look at her. Such a stinker already!! In the picture to the far right the downward slope is her head and bump out is her nose and mouth with her hand right up there like she is sucking her fingers! Her little knee and leg is the other bump you see. So cute! They said she weighs about 3 pounds and for her "age" is in the 68 percentile. Which means she is bigger than 68% of other babies her size. I was so glad to hear that news. It just doesn't seem possible that I have a 3 pound 15 inch long baby inside me. My belly just doesn't look big enough. So here is our sweet baby having a such a good time in her Mommy. Keep praying she will develope correctly and continue to grow right on schedule!!

28 Weeks
I am behind in writing for this week. Not much new has been going on in the way of my pregnancy. Hannah has been moving a lot more and the other night Josh was really able to feel her moving around!! He kept poking just the right spot and she would kick back. We go to the doctor tomorrow and I will have the diabetes test, ultrasound, and doctor visit. I will update after our appointment!
Keep praying for sweet baby Hannah!!

27 Weeks
I am at 27 weeks and have 10 more to go until I am full term. This means anytime after February 13 I could have Hannah at ANY time!! I am getting a little larger, Hannah is taking up more and more room inside. According to websites I will start to really get big over the next few weeks. Hannah is just over 2 pounds and yesterday she started to give me powerful little kicks and elbows that hurt. I guess she is running out of space. Sometimes when she moves into different positions my belly is so tight and stretched. I have to poke her to get her to move back to a better position.
Saturday I had my first shower. It was so pretty and PINK! I got lots of nice things, but the cutest present I belive were these itsy bitsy newborn diapers!! They are so cute! Josh said he didn't know how his big hands were supposed to be putting such a small diaper on a little person. I guess we'll find out. =)
Please continue to pray for my health and rest. Also pray for Hannah that she would continue growing on schedule and her heart would continue beating strong.

26 Weeks
Here I am at 6 months! This week I start my 3rd trimester - which is just so crazy. It seemed like it took forever to get into my 2nd trimester and now I have flown into my 3rd already. I only have 14 weeks to go until I meet my Hannah!! Maybe less! I went to the doctor yesterday. I had to see a different one again - this doctor was really nice and answered all my questions. After talking with her about some weird throat symptoms I have been having she thinks I have acid reflux. It is safe for me to take Pepcid AC, so when I get my symptoms again I am to take that to see if it helps... hopefully!
Thanksgiving was lots of fun. We had a great time in Northern Alabama with family. We brought home strapped to our car a single bed and a dishwasher. It was quite a sight. We made it home fine and everything is in one piece. We set up the bed in Hannah's room for company and overnight visitors when she is born.
I do go back on December 14 for my diabetes test and another ultrasound. I am excited to have another ultrasound and see more pictures of Hannah. Please pray for sweet baby girl that she would continue to grow healthy and strong, and that her heart would continue to beat.
Exciting times are on their way!!

25 Weeks
Hannah will get to experience Thanksgiving dinner this year but only from inside Mommy's womb. She loves it when I eat. Shortly after I eat food or snacks she starting wiggling around as to say, "Thanks for the food! Now I have energy." =) According to research I have done Hannah now weighs about 1 lb and 9 oz and getting bigger everyday. I will rub my tummy and talk to her in quiet moments at home or when I am driving. Next Monday afternoon I will have a monthly checkup. I am hoping at this next appointment to get an ultrasound scheduled for 2 weeks later and also my diabetes tests. (This is supposed to be done about 28 weeks) More updates next week! Happy Turkey Day!

24 Weeks
Week 24! There is not much new going on here. Hannah has been kicking more often and stronger, but not strong enough for Josh to feel yet. He had his hand on my belly when she kicked twice and I asked him, "Did you feel that?" He said he couldn't feel it, so we will wait! My belly is getting bigger, and I will have to post a 5 month picture soon. Hopefully before Christmas I can also post more pictures of Hannah!! We'll have to see when the doctor schedules me for another ultrasound. They will have to check on the location of the placenta.
Please continue to pray for me, that I will not worry so much about my baby girl. There are so many changes going on with my body I never know what is "normal"!
Please pray for Hannah, that she would continue to grow strong and all her organs would develop correctly and in the right location. Also pray her heart would continue beating strong.

23 Weeks
Last Tuesday I turned 24... man how I am getting old! I had a good birthday. Josh and I had errands to run and then went out to dinner with my brother Wade and his girl friend Jennifer. Overall it was a good day and I enjoyed having it off from normal work.
Miss Hannah is doing great. She is kicking more and more everyday. Sometimes quite hard! Josh still hasn't been able to feel her yet, but mainly just because she never kicks in the same spot long enough for me to get Josh over to feel. He is being patient to feel her kicking.
We went and got some pink curtains for her bedroom, also the pink paint to do some accent daisy type flowers on the walls. The room is already getting filled with baby stuff and I love passing by her room. I can't wait until she is in there!! =)
Not much else going on here. Josh has about 3 more weeks of school and both he and I can't wait until he is done!

22 Weeks
Today I had a doctor's appointment and they told me everything looks pretty normal. There is still traces of blood in my urine from the UTI but the doctor also said it is very commom just to have that in pregnancy.
They would like me to get a flu shot, but when I asked the lab I was told all the shots had been given out and they were waiting on a new shipment. Oh well! I guess we'll see what happens in the next few weeks.
We were able to hear Hannah's heartbeat again. She kicked me right as the doctor put the monitor on my belly. Somehow she knew what was going on!
I will go back again to the doctor in four weeks (at 26 weeks - right after Thanksgiving) for another checkup. At that point they will schedule me for the next visit (at 28 weeks - in December) to have another ultrasound and also diabetes test done.
Right now the biggest challenge is to drink 60 oz of water or other fluids everyday. Whew!
Please continue to pray for sweet Hannah and her health and growth.
