Well Hannah and I had an eventful doctor's visit! We got right in and didn't have to wait very long at all in the doctor's office. Hannah was smiling for the nurse and being happy as usual. They had to but the uninary bag on her to get a sample. She was a good sport about it - until they had to take it off! Hannah now weighs 13lb. 13oz. The doctor said she is "perfect" - she weighs right in 50 percentile for height and weight. Plus, Hannah is moving right along with skill developement! Yeah for Hannah! When the doctor first came in he tried talking "baby talk" to Hannah go get her to smile. She gave him one smile then quickly turned her smile into a sad face and began to cry! She then proceeded to cry almost the rest of the visit! I am amazed because she is normally happy and curious to her world around her. She did not like this doctor poking her and checking her ears, nose, throat, etc. I finally got her calmed down and then the nurse came in with all the shots! Poor, poor, poor Hannah! The needles are supposed to retract once all the shot is gone, but the first needle did not retract quickly like it should have and a big huge drop of blood came out. It scared me. Thankfully, the second, third, and forth shots were not blood bearing. I just wish they made the needles smaller! By the end Hannah was screaming, and not just the sad cry like last time. She was heaving sobs and tears which just made my heart melt. I wanted to scoop her up off the table and run for our lives! By the time we got home Hannah was asleep in her carseat and slept off the agony of the mean 'ol nurse with the shots and the "scary" doctor. I gave her tylenol and she is sleeping right now. It is just so tough to be a baby!

I hate those shots. But they are what keeps the babies healthy and strong! :)
Glad to see Hannah is doing well.
