Two weeks old!

Andrew is now two weeks old! I was up with his early Sunday morning at 2am and was thinking back to how two weeks ago I was timing my contractions and calling the doctor and packing for the hospital! Now I have my sweet little boy to hold and cuddle. Hannah has been doing better sleeping at night and still loves her little brother. She has learned to put her baby in Drew's carseat and even strap the babydoll in! She is such a good "little mommy."
My Grandma left today to spend time with some other family. My sister-in-law will arrive on Thursday and I am excited to have her visit!
Since we have started "topping" Drew off with formula (I was just not making enough to satisfy his big boy appetite!) he has been sleeping better and been a happier baby, although he still LOVES to be held.
Please pray for us as we are now "on our own" until Aunt Laura comes to visit.
More pictures next time...!

He got me!!

Today I gave Drew his second sponge bath and decided to take off his diaper towards the end to clean him out around there. When I poured a little water over his hair to get the shampoo off I felt a warm stream on my arm. You guessed it - he got me! It reminded me that things are different when you have a little boy!

Here he is after the bath wrapped up in his little towel.

I put Drew in one of his new froggy outfits he got from his Grandma. It fits him perfectly. So cute!!

Hannah and Drew matched today in green. Hannah LOVES to pet Drew's head and hair. Right now she doesn't seem to be jealous at all. She loves watching her little brother and "petting" him.

Daily Events

Cry, eat, sleep, eat, dirty a diaper, cry some more. These are the daily events for Drew. Not much else going on except I am trying to get sleep whenever possible!!

Home

Drew and I are at home now! We came home Tuesday afternoon. Things are quite crazy as we adjust to life as a family of four and two being under the age of two!!

Due to some weird and rude comments on a previous post I have edited once again my comments settings and hope to avoid this in the future. It really makes you wonder who reads my blog??

Thank you for all your prayers and more pictures to come soon!!!

Andrew Hunter is Here!!

Well Drew decided to come one day earlier than scheduled. That was fine with me! I guess he realized he was missing all the fun while we were at the Creation Museum. I went into labor about 1am this Sunday morning. I was admitted to the hospital at 3:30am and Drew was born at 6:32am after only an amazing 20 minutes of pushing!

He weighs 7lbs 5oz and is 19 inches long.

Pictures from our day.

Today we went to the Creation Museum close to Cincinnati, OH with Granny Kay. It was lots of fun and Hannah crashed in the car on the way home. Here are some pictures from today... Hannah getting ready to touch the deer in the Garden of Eden.

Dinosaurs too!

There was a petting zoo too. Hannah petted the donkey and also a sheep and goat.

On the way home we ate at Cracker Barrell. This picture is for Uncle Jon and Uncle Steven. Hannah is practicing doing the peg game. She thinks she can do it faster than you!

Look Uncle Jon and Uncle Steven! Only one left!!

Doctor Appointment Progress!!

Well I am 2 (and a bit) cm dilated and 60% effaced! Yahoo I am making progress! The doctor was very helpful. She said she thinks Drew weighs about 7 1/2 to 8 pounds and is ready to come at any time! We did set an inducement up for this Monday, July 14th. I'm hoping this "deadline" will help him to decide to come on his own.
Granny Kay is here and ready to take charge once I go into labor.

Please pray for all of us as we wait out these last few days and pray for a healthy delivery and and baby boy!!

New Pictures

I was on playing with some pictures and thought I would upload a few random ones from this past week.

Hannah and I went and ate dinner with Josh one day last week at work and visited the duck pond nearby. Hannah, unlike me as a child, was fearless and wanted to chase the ducks around. She kept saying "duck!" or "quack quack!".

Hannah trying on a pink baseball cap in Target.

Here is Hannah in a hat that a lady at Josh's work made for her. So cute!

Weekend

We had a pretty uneventful 4th of July and weekend. We hung around the house, did some shopping and errands... and for me lots of walking! I have had TONS of contractions. Some painful some not, but I don't know if they are doing anything to help me cervix. I guess I'll see at the doctor appointment on Thursday. We bought a crib mattress for Drew at the end of last week (thanks Mom/Grandma!!) and Josh and I also bought a new bed for our room and our keeping our "older" queen size bed for guests. Right now I am sleeping on the old bed just in case my water break and also it still feels comfortable and safe during these last days (hopefully) being pregnant. Plus I get a whole bed to myself to wiggle around and use as many pillows as I want! =) My Granny Kay is driving up with my Aunt Sharon on Wednesday. She will stay with us to get to know Hannah's schedule and help out after Drew is born.
Not much else for now. I am just keeping up with house work and hanging out with Hannah and Josh while we wait!
I'll update when I have more news...

Same

I am still only 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced. My doctor is on call today and through early hours tomorrow and after that she is on vacation until my due date so I guess she won't be delivering Drew! It's alright because all the other ladies are great and I don't mind them delivering him. That's all for now!

The Waiting Game

The waiting game, I guess that is what we are playing with Drew right now. I feel in limbo. I don't know when or where I will go into labor and am constantly second guessing if I should make plans for this or that because I don't know if Drew will decide to come and I'll have to go around cancelling the plans I have made. If I could just know the date he was coming it would sure help me out! But that's not something I can really control... or know... I'm not frustrated and upset like when I was pregnant with Hannah, I just wanted her to come - early. With a second baby there is much more to plan because I have Hannah to consider while I am in the hospital.
Keep praying for our family in this waiting time and I'll update you after my doctor appointment on Thursday!!
