22 Weeks

Today I had a doctor's appointment and they told me everything looks pretty normal. There is still traces of blood in my urine from the UTI but the doctor also said it is very commom just to have that in pregnancy.
They would like me to get a flu shot, but when I asked the lab I was told all the shots had been given out and they were waiting on a new shipment. Oh well! I guess we'll see what happens in the next few weeks.
We were able to hear Hannah's heartbeat again. She kicked me right as the doctor put the monitor on my belly. Somehow she knew what was going on!
I will go back again to the doctor in four weeks (at 26 weeks - right after Thanksgiving) for another checkup. At that point they will schedule me for the next visit (at 28 weeks - in December) to have another ultrasound and also diabetes test done.
Right now the biggest challenge is to drink 60 oz of water or other fluids everyday. Whew!
Please continue to pray for sweet Hannah and her health and growth.

21 Weeks

There is movement! The middle of last week I felt Hannah moving around. I was laying on the bed just resting and I felt a thump inside of me. I knew it had to be Hannah! She kicked around a few more times and I just tried to remember exactly what it felt like so I would know the next time it happened. I have felt her everyday since then. Yesterday at church she was kicking around during the music. I told Josh she must really like the singing. =) Usually she will be really active for about an hour or so and then still for about 3 or 4 hours. (I'm guessing she's sleeping...) It has been really cool this week to begin to feel my sweet baby moving around. I tell Josh when I feel her moving and now he is getting jealous and wants to be able to feel the kicks from the outside. He has to wait about another 7 weeks...

20 Weeks

I am now half way along! I went back to the doctor yesterday because I was concerned about discharge I was having. The first part is that I have an urinary tract infection. So I am on a medcine for the next week to clear things up. The other discharge is me loosing bladder control!!!!! Oh my. On the up side of the visit, Josh and I were able to heart Hannah's heartbeat again. It had been two weeks since we had last heard it and then the Lord allowed us to be able to hear it again halfway between the monthly appointments. =)
I started working on Hannah's baby album by doing a few page layouts and putting in her first ultrasound pictures.

My Picture

Well here is the promised, not-so-flattering-picture of me. This picture was taken a couple of days ago at my 19 week mark. (or 4 months) I did some research and when you say you are "3 months" or "6 months" it is different than saying weeks. Weeks are figured from LMP but your "1 month" mark begins at 5-8 weeks. How did they come up with this system? I don't know!

19 Weeks

19 weeks and possibly half way through my pregnancy. (depending on when I go into labor) I have been feeling sick this week, mainly in the mornings, but not quite throwing up. The doctor is pretty sure this will last the rest of my pregnancy. Feeling sick does make me rest more and put my feet up, which have been good for me. I am just getting so tired of constantly eating! When you don't feel good you don't want to eat... but for me if I don't eat I feel even worse. Whoever thought eating would be such a chore. =)
My waistline is expanding and rounding out. We finally got the digital camera charged up again (it has been dead for over a week) so we will have to do a side shot view some time soon. It really isn't flattering to take a picture of yourself standing sideways, but it would be nice to have a comparison later on in my pregnancy to see how much I have grown.
I have been having a little more energy in the evenings. I have been making and freezing cookie dough for Christmas etc. I am also starting to plan ahead as I would really like to host Christmas again this year (hint hint Dad - you guys can all come up!!) as I won't be able to travel that late in my pregnancy but still really want to see family.
Josh is doing well in his classes and is caught up on school work. Last week he had a good relaxing week and caught up on much needed sleep. I keep wondering where my week of sleep and rest is?! Well, I think that is all for now.
Please keep praying for the placenta to grow upward and in the correct location. Please also pray for my sweet Hannah that she would continue to grow healthy and strong.

Placenta Previa

Placenta Previa is the medical term for low lying placenta. This is what was discovered at my ultrasound this week. I have attached a link below for you to read more about it. I think it helped me some to do this research. Please pray I would be in the 90% of women whose placenta "fixes" itself by the 3rd trimester. We know that God can move the placenta to the correct location and will watch over little Hannah in her mommy's womb.

Target Registry

I have gone online and started a gift registry for Hannah. You can click this LINK and it should take you right to the registry page. At this time it only contains crib, changing table, and bedding etc. I believe everything can be purchased either online or in the store. Girls are so much fun!! =)

AND WE ARE HAVING A...

BABY GIRL!!!!!!!
We went in for our ultrasound today. I drank lots of water to make sure we could get some good pictures, but my baby girl didn't want to move around too much. She kept waving her littler arms at us, but she wouldn't lay on her back for us to get a good profile picture or anything like that. We did get a good view to see the "3 lines" indicating she was a girl! Poor Josh knows he is in for a lot of pink and girly stuff!! We are both very excited. Our baby girl with a due date so close to her Grandma Jackie's birthday is a special gift from God and we can't wait to meet her! Here is a 3D picture of Hannah Jacqueline waving hello. I know she can't wait to meet everyone!!
On another note, please pray for my placenta as right now it is sitting low and the doctor is a little concerned. She said that some women have this, and because it is still earlier on in my pregnancy the placenta could easily "slide on up" to where it should be. I just need to watch for any bleeding over the next few weeks as that could be a sign there are more problems. Please continue to pray for my little baby girl that her heart would continue to beat and she would continue to grow right on schedule.
Also pray that at my next ultrasound in about 10 weeks the placenta would be in the correct location.

18 Weeks

I am at 18 weeks this week and growing bigger! According to my research baby should weigh about 8oz or 1/2 a pound and is about 8-9 inches long. Tomorrow Josh and I go to the doctor and will have an ultrasound!! I am so excited and nervous. I want to see that everything is growing good! Either boy or girl, the news of a healthy growing baby is the most important for both me and Josh. I thought I was over my morning sickness, but then yesterday I was sick twice... I will talk to the doctor tomorrow and see what she thinks. I have been having more overall energy. So this is a good thing.
I helped out with an evangelism crusade over the weekend in Taylorsville, KY. (About 45 minutes away) My title was stage manager and was in charge of more than I thought I would be. It was fun to have all that power. =) I had to run around a lot and my feet and legs are killing me! It was good I had enough energy for the crusade. I enjoyed being behind the scenes and making sure everything was organized and in its place.
I will post a picture of the ultrasound in the next few days along with the results. I also need to post a picture of my growing belly.
Please pray for good results tomorrow and for my baby to be healthy!!
