The Snow Pictures

Before all the craziness started...

This morning... notice the branch right next to the van. On an update. It did bust out our back side window and crack our winshield. Bummer.

Our cold van.

The branch outside our house.

Our Family, Our House, CRAZY Weather

Just to update you on our conditions. God is good. We have power. All through the night what sounded like cracks of lightening and thunder were really tree limbs crashing down all around us under the weight of snow and ice.
We have two to three HUGE limbs in our driveway. They were guided by the Lord and were inches from hitting our house or our fence on either side. At least one huge limb was also inches from smashing our van.
It is snowing like a blizzard outisde. We will NOT be going anywhere today. I hope Josh's work is closed!
Pray for all the people without power. More updates and crazy pictures to come...

Baby Food

At Andrew's 6 month checkup we got the green light to begin puree baby foods. The fun begins! =) We have already done some foods a few days alright but today I had my camera handy to capture it all! Here is Andrew waiting for the food.

We are going with Green Beans first...
"Oh Mommy, Yuck!"

" This is not what I wanted!!"

(After about the 5th bite) "I'm getting rid of this food Mommy, I don't want to take any more of this!"

Andrew did not really like pears either. But rice cereal with pears were acceptable for Andrew tonight. Sucess! =)

Happy Birthday Josh! (aka Daddy)

It was Josh's birthday yesterday and we had a good day. Josh took the day off work and we went to the mall and had the kids pictures taken and then ate at Red Robin. Here is Josh sitting at our table at Red Robin. (Hannah was not interested in posing for a picture and Drew was sleeping in the stroller.)

Here is Josh with his birthday cake and favorite kiddos. Yes, I COULD have been creative with Josh's birthday cake but he asked me fore yellow cake with store bought chocolate frosting (gasp!). Happy Birthday Josh!

The whole family. (Thanks Matt for taking the pic!)

Here is Josh feeding Andrew, and Hannah coming over to see. We were at Picture People waiting to get our pictures printed.

So Hannah has not been into picture taking lately. Getting her picture with Andrew was interesting yesterday. When we were waitng to view our pictures, Hannah ran over to the portrait area and stood there and yelled "CHEESE!". I said, "Are you ready to smile now?" She exclaimed, "YES!!" Oh my. I guess you can say timing is everything! I got this picture, but I was rushing to take it, that it turned out blurry.

The Past Few Days

It is FREEZING here in KY. I think the high is like 10 degrees and the wind chill is like -4! So we have been finding things to do inside to pass the time...

Here is Andrew enjoying the high chair today. Hannah thought it was hers when I got it out. I tried to explain that we were going to share it with Andrew. This was good enough for her and she said to me, "Drew seat" Then she went and got toys for him to play with while sitting in the seat. She is such a good big sissy!!

Here are Hannah and Andrew sitting on the counter (with Daddy AND Mommy close supervision). We made super yummy sugar cookies!

Here is a good one of the cute little man.

Hannah's new thing to do is RUN and hide when I get out the camera. This is her trying to hide on the other side of the fridge. Why is she being shy?? Also, she has her paci in her mouth. Hannah has been taking "kiki" (blanket) and paci with her more and more around the house lately. I don't mind the blanket, but the paci can get in the way or get lost and that is not good at bedtime.

On other news Andrew turned 6 months this week! He is such a big boy. He had his checkup today and weighed in at 17 pounds 5 ounces and is in the 50% percentile for height and weight. All round he is healthy. Thankfully we have all been pretty healthy so far in the new year.

Not much else is going on besides trying to stay WARM. I really wish all this cold weather would produce snow. =) Speaking of things that are white... DOVE Chocolate Discoveries is coming out with a DOVE Premimum WHITE Chocolate on February 1st. I can't wait to try it!!

My Christmas Post

Here is my Christmas update as promised. Here are lots of pictures in random order!

Here is Hannah and Aunt Laura. We took the picture because they matched in orange and blue. Go Gators! Uncle Steven worked so hard to try and get Hannah to say it. Right now she just likes to say "touchdown!" and raise her hands over her head.

Hannah and Poppy. This was one of the last pictures we took before we left Jacksonville at 6pm to drive (ALL NIGHT) back to Louisville. You can tell Hannah was done smiling.

I'm not sure why this one decided to go sideways, as it was right way up when I uploaded it. Oh well, turn your head sideways! This is GG (Lesta) with Andrew. I'm not sure what he is playing with. Thank you GG for letting us stay at your house for Christmas vacation!

Uncle Jon and Hannah. Someone MUST have been doing something funny. It is rare both of them smile this big for a picture!! ha. ha.

Uncle Jon and Hannah playing with toys.

Poppy and Andrew. I think this picture is SO cute. It looks like Andrew is looking at my Dad and saying, "You are SO funny!"

This is my mom-in-laws new puppy she got for Christmas. She had two surprises this year for Christmas. Us showing up at her doorstep at 8am a few days before Christmas and this new puppy (named Bella) on Christmas Day. (Josh's brother Evan in the background)

Hannah opening a doll house from Poppy and Nana Jane.

Hannah LOVES playing with magnets of the fridge. My mom-in-law has tons on her fridge and so Hannah enjoyed hanging out there. Evan is helping her. (sorry about the sideways!)

This is another one of my favorite pictures. Notice Hannah is bossing her Uncle Evan around!! Ha ha. And he is obeying!!

Andrew meeting his Great Grandma Tillman. (Grandpa Bob in the background)
This picture was taken a few days after we returned home. I was baking something and I told Hannah that the food was done in the oven. I turn to look around and Hannah had opened the drawer with the oven mitts (notice just past the stove), and had put the oven mitt on (the red blob on her right arm), and was just about to open the oven to take the food out herself! I guess she thought she had seen Mommy do it so many times she could do it herself. Although this is super cute, I tried to explain to Hannah that she should NEVER open the oven door. "VERY HOT, NO TOUCH" Let's hope it worked!
After going through my Jacksonville Christmas pictures I realized that I have no pictures of Steven, Jane, Jane's girls Nikki and April, Josh's Dad, Josh's sis Sarah, or Grandma Dot!! I should have done better with this picture taking. Next year?

Happy 2009!
